INGREDIENTS OF BUTTER CHICKEN RECIPE:
FOR MARINATED CHICKEN:
- 1 lb of boneless chicken, skinless chicken thighs that should be cut into small cubes /pieces
- ¼ cup of yogurt(plain)
- 1 tbsp of olive oil (any cooking oil)
- 1 teaspoon of coriander
- 1 teaspoon of Chilli powder (Or Kashmiri Chilli powder)
- 1 teaspon of cumin seeds
- Salt as per taste
FOR THE CREAMY SAUCE:
- Almonds qty should be 8 to 10
- Cashews qty should 10 to 12
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp of coriander
- Garam masala 1 ½ teaspoon
- Kashmiri chilli powder 1 ½ teaspoon
- Salt around ½ teaspoon
- 1 cup of water
- ¼ cup of cream(buttermilk)
- Kasuri methi
- Whole recipe of butter chicken with the aforementioned ingredients:
Marination: Marinate the whole chicken with all the available ingredients and refrigerate it properly for a few hours.
Soak Cashews: Add or soak cashews and almonds in water before the preparation of butter chicken.
Cooking Part: Heat your skillet to the optimum level. Add some oil to the surface of the skillet. Then grill the chicken pieces on the skillet for 5 to 10 minutes until the water is dried up. Do not try to overstuff the skillet, just transfer the chicken into another pan and set it aside for sometime.
Sauce Part: Add some butter to the pan over medium heat. Once the butter starts melting, add ginger or garlic paste with sugar and salt.
