Step by Step Procedure to Prepare Kadahi Paneer?

  1. In a Grinder, take 1.5 tablespoons coriander seeds and 5 to 6 Kashmiri red chilies.
  2. You can grind it to Semi Fine Powder.
  3. In a Kadahi, heat 3 tablespoons oil. Add ⅓ to ½ cup finely chopped onions.
  4. Sauté onions until they turn translucent and soften on medium-low to medium heat.
  5. Once done, then you need to add 1 Teaspoon of Ginger Garlic Paste.
  6. You can cook it for some time till the raw aroma of Ginger Garlic goes away.
  7. Now add 3 cups of chopped tomatoes to it.
  8. You can mix it well and saute tomatoes for 3-4 minutes before adding the next items.
  9. Now Add ground Kadai Masala to the tomatoes.
  10. Fry the tomatoes till the whole mixture becomes like a paste and starts leaving the oil. This procedure will help Kadai masala paste to become glossy and thick.
  11. Now add ¾ to 1 cup capsicum julienne or slices.
  12. Now fry the capsicum for 3-4 minutes to low to medium heat.
  13. You can now add 2-3 green chilies as per your taste in the masala. Also to mix it well add 1 cup of water. You can increase or decrease the quantity of water as per your taste.Mix it well and Saute until the Capsicum gets half cooked.
  14. Once the capsicum is half-cooked add garam masala powder and salt as required. Mix these with the rest of the masala.

Steps to make the Kadai Paneer:

  • Once the Kadai Masala is prepared, now you can add the Paneer cubes.
  • You need to mix it well to make Masala reach every Paneer cubes.
  • At last, you need to add one 1 teaspoon crushed kasuri methi , ginger julienne and 2 tablespoons coriander leaves. Mix again.
  • Don’t skip Ginger julienne. They impart a great deal of fresh, zesty flavor to the dish.
