How to Prepare Mutton Barrah- Detailed Recipe

Irresistible and succulent Mutton Barrah is a Mughlai recipe made with whole mutton and is a true delectable dish for non-vegetarians. The main ingredients are lamb chops which  taste best when grilled properly on charcoal.

Ingredients used in the recipe of Mutton Barrah:
1) Mutton Chops

2) Ginger paste

3) Chilli powder

4) Garlic paste

5) Mustard oil

6) Turmeric

7) Black cardamom

8) Chaat masala

9) Black pepper

10) Cumin powder

11) Garam masala powder

12) Little lemon juice

13) Salt as per taste

14) Hung Curd

 

Recipe of cooking of Mutton Barrah:


1) First step starts for the marinade purpose. Take all the ingredients like salt, chili powder, ginger, garlic, garam masala, pepper, vinegar, mustard oil  and blend them together to make a complete smooth mixture in a blender. 

2) To remove the hanging flaps of the chops, cut the mutton chops accordingly. Pat them with the help of dry tissue.

3) Slice the meat with the aid of paring knife and insert all marinade in the inner part of the large chops.

4) Take the hung curd in this step and pour the marinade on the lamp chops in a separate bowl and mix them together. Make sure to cover all the pieces with the marinade mixture if you want to taste the authenticity of the dish. 

5) Gas flame of the charcoal plays a very significant role in cooking this dish. On the low flame, wait for the white ash on the charcoal and start your next step. 

6) Keep the lid above the mixing bowl.

7) Put the small bowl in the marinade covered with mutton pieces. With the help of tongs, put the hot charcoal in the bowl. When smoke starts appearing, try to cover the bowl tightly and  instantly.

8) After a few minutes, you can remove the lid and stir the mutton accordingly and keep the mutton in a refrigerator. 

9) Next day, you can take out the mixture and skewer the pieces between the rib bones. 

10) Now start baking the chops in an oven, the temperature should be at least 200 degree Celsius. 

11) Bake the chop pieces properly and carefully. When brownish color appears on the chops then you can change the side of the pieces. 

12 )After doing the process for half an hour, now you can take out the chops.

13) Now char the kebabs in a high flame so that they appear as if they are cooked in some tandoor. 

14) In the last step, keep the meat aside for a few minutes and you can prepare the serving process with onion rings.
